| Funeral for Anita Joyce Shipley, 74, of Perryton, and formerly of Bridgeport, was Oct. 30 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Burial was at East Bridgeport Cemetery. |
 Shipley died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in Perryton.
Born May 14, 1935, in Decatur to Orlan and Evilla (Adams) Kaker, she married Jerry Mack Shipley May 11, 1952, in Bridgeport. She was a receptionist at the Bridgeport Clinic for Dr. Hud and Dr. Bryant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perryton and the volunteer Ochiltree Auxiliary R.S.V.P.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her son, Mike Shipley and wife, Connie, of Tularosa, N.M.; daughters, Debbie Blodgett and husband, Richard, of Perryton and Brenda Downing and husband, Billy, of Childress; grandchildren, Kacee Grover and husband, G.W., Brent King and wife, Jennifer, Jennifer Shipley, Bekah Shipley, Chesnea Davis and husband, Michael, Randy Blodgett and wife, Kris Ann; great-grandchildren, Jarah, Landen, Eddie Ray, Christina, Ryan and Chelsea; and brother, Tommy Kaker and wife, Ann, of Jacksboro.
Pallbearers were Randy Blodgett, Brent King, G.W. Grover, Jimmy Newton, Clyde Gachter, Mickey Ray and Bill Ray. |
