| Visitation for Janice Marie Parsons, 66, of Bridgeport was to be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Cremation will follow. |
 Parsons died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, in Bridgeport.
Born July 5, 1943, in Hemet, Calif., to George Hall and Ertis Boner, she had an associate's degree in nursing. She was a member of American Legion and United States Bowling Congress. She fished, camped, crocheted, played bingo and bowled.
She was preceded in death by her son, Henry Schiffman.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Parsons; sons, Virgil "Chip," Keith "Rocky" and Cody Schiffman; stepsons, Michael and Sherrod Parsons; daughters, Anita Stansfield and Michele Huggins; stepdaughters, Larinda Groff and Laurie Grissom; brother, Doyle Hall and wife, Rhonda; sister, Arlis Bullard and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Devon Schiffman, Kendal Small, Caci Campbell, Zakarie Huggins, Natasha Stansfield; eight step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three step-great-grandchildren. |
