| Graveside service for Charles E. West Jr., 84, of Suffolk, Va., formerly of Wise County, was to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Rosston Cemetery with the Rev. David Dunson officiating. |
West died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in Suffolk.
Born July 29, 1925, in Pernell, Okla., to Charles E. and Ida Lou (Green) West Sr., he married Iris Christine Lucas Oct. 7, 1950, in Henrietta. He retired from Waggoner Cattle Ranches in Decatur and was a member of the Rosston Methodist Church. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hornet. He gardened and fished.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Vicky Feliciano and husband, Ed, of Smithfield, Va.; granddaughter, Marci Gilbert and husband, Terry; two grandsons, Jeff Feliciano and wife, Janett, and Nick Feliciano; great-granddaughter, Sara Nickerson; great-grandsons, Chris and Stephen Wallace and Christov Feliciano.
He was preceded in death by a grandson; two sisters; and four brothers.
