 Funeral for Doris L. Jackson, 77, of Rhome was Sept. 12 at the Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark with the Rev. James Hurst officiating.
Jackson died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, in Decatur.
Born Oct. 22, 1931, in Rhome to Sidney and Ethel (Teetle) McGoodwin, she was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Jackson; daughter, Becky Fite; brother, James L. McGoodwin; and sister, Betty Sue McGoodwin.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy Berry and ReDeanna Hines and husband, Butch, all of Rhome; son, Anthony Jackson and wife, Betty, of Plant City, Fla.; grandchildren, Mikeul, Ronnie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Sidney and Stacy; great-grandchildren, Tony, Chaz, Miranda, Areanna, Mikella, A.J., Bailey, Makayla, Devon, Kyla and Vanessa; great-great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ryann; and sisters, Katherine Shultz of Mojave, Calif., and Lois Ham of Aurora.
Pallbearers were John Peterson, Gary Kopp, Rick Henderson, Walter Ransom, Robert Splawn and John Weaver. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Sullins, Larry Sprabary, Roberto Saldana, Tom Peterson and Sammy Turner. |
