Hundreds of people cast votes during the first week of early voting for the Nov. 3 general election. The ballot includes 11 Texas constitutional amendments and bond packages in the Bridgeport and Decatur school districts.
Through 5 p.m. Friday, 600 people had voted, according to Elections Administrator Lannie Noble.
Early voting continues each weekday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Decatur Civic Center and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday at the Bridgeport ISD administration building through Friday, Oct. 30. Other early voting locations this week include 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Decatur ISD administration building; Thursday, Oct. 29, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Decatur Public Library and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bridgeport Elementary School; and 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Bridgeport Middle School/Bull Memorial Stadium.
