A Sunset man arrested in September after he shot his girlfriend in the face was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon recently by a Wise County grand jury.
Jerry Glen Ball, 57, is accused of shooting Deborah Knight, 48, of Oklahoma City at a home in the 200 block of Private Road 1784 in Sunset on Sept. 12. Ball told authorities he thought the gun was unloaded, and he did not intend to shoot Knight.
Knight was taken to Wise Regional Health System in Decatur where she was treated and later released.
