New York designer David Rodriguez has created an exclusive line of women's fashions for Stage Stores Inc., which includes Bealls.

New York designer David Rodriguez has created an exclusive line of women's fashions for Stage Stores Inc., which includes Bealls.

The Decatur Bealls store is among the 100 Stage stores to carry the line.

"The inspiration for my designs comes from the feminine form," said Rodriguez. "The details, fabrics, colors and prints all flatter feminine curves."

The "D.R. by D. Rodriguez" collection features classic sportswear with a modern edge.

Legend Bank CEO announces retirement

James A. Woodall Jr., CEO and director of Legend Bank and director of Legend Bancorp Inc., is retiring effective June 30.

He has been with Legend Bank since 2001. He is being replaced by Mickey Faulconer, who joined the bank in 2004 as chief lending officer. He most recently served as president and chief lending officer.

Woodall's retirement reception is June 30 at the Legend Bank Bowie location.

Air Evac earns safety award

Air Evac Lifeteam, which operates a base in Mineral Wells and serves Wise County, has received the Helicopter Association International Operator Safety Award for 2008.

The award recognizes the safe operation of helicopters by its members.

Air Evac Lifeteam was established in 2003 and is a member-supported air ambulance company that provides emergency care and rapid medical transport to rural communities throughout the central United States.
