The Hall of Honor pays tribute to former students who exemplify the values upon which the corps was founded - honor, loyalty, service, patriotism and leadership.
Carter earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M in 1969.
He served as student body president and corps adjutant his senior year.
He was a distinguished military graduate and served in the U.S. Army after graduation.
He has served the university in many capacities including the president's Corps of Cadets Board of Visitors, the Board of Directors of the 12th Man Foundation, past president of The Association of Former Students and chairman of the board of the Texas A&M Foundation.
Carter and his firm were named to the Aggie 100 Program and in 2000, he was honored with Texas A&M University's top honor, the Distinguished Alumni Award.
