Roy J. Eaton of Decatur, retired publisher of the Wise County Messenger, has been elected to the board of directors of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show in Fort Worth.
Eaton has been involved with the Fort Worth Stock Show for more than 40 years. He has served as the announcer for the annual Stock Show parade for 42 years and has been a livestock show announcer for more than 20 years.
His assignments include the annual Junior Steer Show and the annual Junior Heifer Show.
Two other Wise County residents were reelected to the Fort Worth Stock Show board at the annual meeting April 21. They are James F. Wood and Dr. Tom Woodward, both of Decatur.
