The event will be 7:30 p.m. nightly at the Bridgeport Riding Club Arena. Title sponsor is Karl Klement Dodge in Decatur. The City of Bridgeport and RGA HomeCare are platinum sponsors.

The Friday night performance of the rodeo will once again promote breast cancer awareness and will benefit Mary's Gift, a countywide program that offers free mammograms to underserved Wise County women. "Rodeo Pink" is sponsored by Aflac and by Karl Klement Dodge and its general manager Robert Bishop. Last year's pink event raised more than $7,000 for Mary's Gift.

This year, the rodeo committee is using a local vendor to produce the Rodeo Pink T-shirts. A logo has been designed locally and organizers feel they can offer a high quality shirt at a fair price, with more proceeds staying in the county. The T-shirts will be sold prior to the rodeo at iCopy in Bridgeport and Decatur, and everyone in the county is being encouraged to wear pink on May 8. Shirts will also be sold at the rodeo, along with other pink items. Group orders for pink merchandise can be made by calling Kim Lawson at (817) 994-1051.

The Aflac regional office will sponsor a kids' duck pond at the Friday night rodeo performance.

Schools across the county are also involved in Rodeo Pink. Campuses in Bridgeport, Decatur, Boyd, Paradise, Alvord and Chico are sponsoring fundraising activities, with proceeds benefitting Mary's Gift. A traveling trophy will be presented to the school district that raises the most money. Decatur won the trophy last year.

The Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, Bridgeport Riding Club and the rodeo committee are also sponsoring the rodeo, which also benefits the Bridgeport Lions Club, Bridgeport Riding Club and the Crosstimbers A&M Club.

Tickets are $12 nightly, with children 5 and under admitted free. Live entertainment and a dance will follow each performance. For more information, call (940) 683-2076 or http://www.bridgeportchamber.org
