Chevrolet continued to be Wise County's most popular vehicle as 25 Chevy cars and 62 Chevrolet trucks were registered in August in the office of County Tax Assessor-Collector Monte Shaw.
James Wood Motors registered 195 new vehicles during the month, while Karl Klement Chrysler sold 43 and Klement Ford registered 28.
Wood's Hyundai division registered 20 new cars and 11 new trucks during the month.
GMC trucks followed Chevrolet in popularity as 48 units were registered, followed by Dodge, 22; Ford, 20 and Jeep, 8.
Following Chevrolet and Hyundai in car sales were Pontiac with 17 units; Dodge, 10; Buick, 9; Ford, 8; and Chrysler, 3.
Wood sold 62 used cars during the month, followed by Klement Ford with 32 and Klement Chrysler with 17.
GMAC lead the way in financing with 42, followed by First State Banks, 23; DATCU Credit Union, 19; Ford Motor Credit, 14; First Financial, 4; The Community Bank and Legend Bank, 2 each; and Chrysler Financial, North Texas Bank, Wells Fargo and First National Bank of Jacksboro/Runaway Bay, 1 each.
