With a tribute to her grandparents who have been married 64 years, Milissa Harris of Floors & More on the square took top honors in the Decatur Main Street "Best of Downtown" Fall in Love With Downtown window decorating contest for February.
"All of the participating windows did a great job," said Susan Campbell, Main Street and Economic Development director for the city of Bowie, who judged the contest. "The Floors & More window was the best in all categories and went the extra mile with those personal touches."
Harris also included a special "Main Street" message on a bottle in her window design.
Windows were judged on theme, merchandising, lighting, creativity and visibility.
Juleez won the award for best color merchandising, and Memory Lane won the creativity award for sharing a window with A Ray of Flowers.
The March window contest theme is "Lucky You!" focusing on St. Patrick's Day. Windows will be judged throughout the month by secret ballot. For more information or to cast a vote, contact Frieda Hanley at Decatur Main Street, (940) 627-6158.
