Gettys, former teacher and dean registrar of the college, focuses on his experiences at the college and the reasons behind the transfer of the college to Dallas, based on his research.

Gettys spent the last years of his life researching and writing the book and finished a draft before his death in September 2007.

Leisa, Gettys' daughter, and husband Manshadow finished the editing and recently released the book.

Books are $11 and can be ordered by mailing the money to Gettys, 803 S. Stratton, Decatur, TX 76234.
