| Hayley Kathryn Webb and Derric Michael Smith, both of Washington, D.C., were married May 23, 2009, at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth. The Rev. Johnny Irish of First United Methodist Church of Decatur officiated the double ring ceremony. |
The bride is the daughter of Billy and Nelda Webb of Bridgeport.
The groom is the son of Pete and Valerie Seidl of Hobbs, N.M.
Escorted by her father the bride wore an ivory full-length silky taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruched bodice. The gown was adorned with beaded and embroidered appliques. The skirt had box pleats and an embroidered cathedral-length train. She wore a shoulder-length "Jacque" cage veil held by a headband with Austrian crystals in a floral design.
The bride carried a bouquet of red roses, calla lillies and gerber daises tied with a champagne taffeta ribbon.
Maid of honor was Allison Murray of Washington, D.C., and bridesmaids were Marie Mechinus of Austin, Meagan Cortez and Kelley Henderson, both of Lubbock, Monica Neighbors of Weatherford and Lori Robertson of Killeen. Attendants wore full-length taffeta evening dresses with sweetheart necklines, ruched bodices and chapel trains. They each carried replicas of the bride's bouquet and wore an assortment of black beaded necklaces given as gifts from the bride.
Best man was Aaron Stagner of Houston and groomsmen were Chad Tabor of Hobbs, Corey Wayne Smith of Dallas, Nick West of Hurst, Chris Smith of Oxford, Ala., and Victor Rodriquez of College Station. Ushers were Idel Dibirdi of Bryan and Chris Faris of Fort Worth.
Guestbook attendants were Megan Higginbotham and Tressie Farnie, both of College Station.
Organist was Mark Scott, music minister of St. Stephen.
A reception hosted by the bride's parents followed the ceremony at the Fort Worth Hilton.
The bride is a graduate of Bridgeport High School and Texas A&M University. She is employed by Rep. Ted Poe.
The groom is a graduate of Hobbs High School and Texas A&M University. He is employed by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
Following a wedding trip to Maui, the couple live in Dallas.
