| Lyman and Janette Arthur of Paradise will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Bridgeport Lions Club. |
Lyman Arthur and the former Janette Pierce were married Aug. 7, 1959, in Decatur.
They have three children, Wayne Arthur and wife, Karen, and Anthony Arthur and wife, Ginger, all of Paradise, and Regina Arthur of Justin; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lyman retired after 25 years from Bar-W Meat Co. in Fort Worth, where he was the director of maintenance. He is employed as a maintenance advisor for Kennedy's Sausage in Weatherford.
Janette retired from the Bridgeport Post Office after 18 years.
