Carolyn Ting Brannan and Thomas Lorenz England III, both of Dallas, were married Nov. 1, 2008, at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Ark. Doug Reed with Thorncrown Chapel officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond Eugene Jr. and Meiwen Ting Brannan of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Thomas Lorenz Jr. and Ida Jo Biggers England of Dallas.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory tea-length silk satin gown with a portrait neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. A fitted bodice led to a drop waist and full skirt. She wore wrist-length kid gloves and carried an all-white bouquet of tulips, gardenias, ranunculus and roses.
Matron of honor was Whitney Howard Field of Dallas. She wore a knee-length latte A-line dress with cap sleeves. She carried a bouquet of white tulips.
Best man was the groom's father.
Violinist was Frederick Robert Mayer of Eureka Springs.
A luncheon reception followed the ceremony in the East Garden of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. A wedding dinner took place later in the day at the Autumn Breeze Restaurant.
The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Crescent Hotel.
The bride attended the Hockaday School in Dallas and Decatur High School. She attended Boston University and received her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She is an attorney and director of advanced planning for New York Life.
The groom attended Highland Park High School in Dallas and Christ Church Preparatory School in Christ Church, Va. He attended Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. He is the chief operating officer of England Investments.
Following a wedding trip to Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands, a wedding reception was held at Brook Hollow Golf Club. The couple reside in Dallas.
