Edward and Helen Black of Paradise will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Decatur Civic Center. Edward Black and the former Helen Murphy were married Jan. 25, 1958, in Bryan. They have three children, Dennis Black and wife, Beth, and Kirt Black and wife, Shannon, all of Decatur, and Karl Black of Runaway Bay; and four grandchildren. Edward owns Lakota Energy Ltd. and retired from Lockheed Martin. Helen is a homemaker. They are members of the United Methodist Church in Paradise.
