Audrey and William E. ‘Cotton’ Gilbert

Sixty-second wedding anniversary Feb. 2, 2008

Audrey and William E. “Cotton” Gilbert of Runaway Bay celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary Saturday, Feb. 2.
Cotton Gilbert and the former Audrey Lewis were married Feb. 2, 1946, in Shreveport, La.
They have a son, Michael Gilbert, and wife, Sue, of Houston; three daughters, Jeannene Oquinn and husband, Gary, of Cypress, Cindy Bullion and husband, Jack, of Decatur, and Liz Dale and huband, Gene, of Prosper; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Cotton retired from Mitchell Energy Corporation and Audrey worked for Johnson and Johnson.
