Elisabeth Marie Nordby of Corpus Christi, the daughter of Susan Vaughn and the late Peter Nordby, will marry John Brennan Riggs, son of Conard and Robin Riggs, all of Bridgeport, in July 2008 at the garden at the DeGolyer Mansion in the Dallas Arboretum. Bruce Venable, university minister of the First Baptist Church in Lubbock, will officiate the ceremony.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marie DeSisto and Per and Inger Nordby. She will graduate from Texas Tech University in May 2008 with a degree in marketing. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega social sorority and Chi Tau Epsilon.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Joan Green and Jo Home and is the great-grandson of Lorene Green. He will graduate from Texas Tech University in May 2008 with a degree in Spanish.
