Funeral for James Kalbfleisch, 59, of Chico was to be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Tom Merritt was to officiate. Burial was to follow at Chico Cemetery. Kalbfleisch died Monday, April 7, 2008, in Ohio. Born May 18, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, to Norman and Marjorie Kalbfleisch, he drove trucks and received Driver of the Month awards at Trinity Materials. He also rode motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lola Kalbfleisch; his parents of Ohio; sons, Felix Padilla and wife, Tami, of New Mexico and Chris Leyva of Runaway Bay; daughters Yvonne Campbell of Ohio, Geri Wise of Las Vegas, Nev., Michelle Walton of Runaway Bay and Anna Leyva of Bridgeport; sisters, Kathy Crawford and husband, Jeff, of Ohio; grandchildren, Josh, Nathan, Anjelica, Shawnea, Dekkota, Joe, David, Stephanie, Jake, Nora, Jordan, Mariah and Abbi; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were to be Mike Shinn, Steve Wilson, Lawrence Romero, Billy Romero, Manuel Chavez and Juan Langora. Honorary pallbearer will be Dustin Walker.
