Gene Harlow Hanson

Funeral for Gene Harlow Hanson, 76, of Decatur was Tuesday, April 22, at Victory Family Church in Decatur, with the Rev. Allen Bates officiating. Burial was at Sycamore Cemetery.

Hanson died Friday, April 18, 2008, in Dallas.

Born Oct. 6, 1931, in Luverne, Minn., to Hans Martin and Eulela Wiseman Hanson, he married Judith Sweet May 19, 1956, in Long Beach, Calif. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his daughters, Judene Hanson and Laura Hanson of Decatur; son, Harlow Hanson and wife, Ronda, of Madison, Neb.; grandsons, Ryan, Brandon and Jordan Hanson; granddaughter, Morgan Hanson; great-grandchildren, Cameron and McKinnley Hanson; two sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Luis Delgado, Grady Griffith, Jordan Hanson, Ryan Hanson, Dick Mayfield and Charles Pitts. Honorary pallbearer was Walter Taylor.
