Warren D. Western

Funeral for Warren D. Western, 84, of Alvord was April 7 at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with the Rev. Bill Cleveland officiating.
Western died Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Keene.
Born to Louis Albert and Lockie Western in Chico in 1923, he graduated from Alvord High School. He married Inez Whitson May 3, 1969, in Alvord. He farmed and ranched in Wise County for more than 60 years. He was also a member of the Alvord Masonic Lodge and a member of First Baptist Church in Alvord.
Western is survived by his wife; daughter, Marilyn Ransom and husband, Brad, of Alvarado; grandsons, Tyler and Kyle Ransom of Alvarado; brother, Weldon Western and wife, Peggie, of Keller; sister, Melvadean Morris and husband, Dale, of Alvord; and several nieces and nephews.
