Margaret Belle Ray

Funeral for Margaret Belle Ray, 84, of Arlington and formerly of Decatur, was to be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Coker-Hawkins Chapel in Decatur with Buddy Ward officiating. Burial was to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1.

Ray died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Arlington.

Born May 13, 1923, in Hope, Ark., to Elmer Ormond and Ariena Bell Snowden Lutz, she married Ruel Daniel Ray Dec. 3, 1939, in Fort Worth. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hobbs.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Andrew Ray and wife, Carol, of Arlington; daughter, Marietta Gillespie and husband, Marshall, of Boyd; grandchildren, Alisa DeLacruz and Brian Gillespie; a sister, Jean Brandaway, of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were to be Brian Gillespie, Gary Brandaway, Mike Brandaway, David Brandaway, Gus DeLacruz and Bill Hatcher.
