Dorothy Bell

1926-2008

Funeral for Dorothy Bell, 81, of Hereford, formerly of Decatur, was Friday, May 2, at the Fellowship of Believers Church in Hereford with the Rev. Kevin Hull officiating. Burial was to be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.

Bell died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Hereford Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 22, 1926, in Comanche to John and Ethel Auvenshine, she graduated from Stephenville High School and lived in Decatur, Colorado City and San Angelo. She married Cecil Bell Dec. 24, 1967, in San Angelo and they moved to Hereford in 1971. She was the assistant office manager for Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative, Inc. for more than 25 years and retired in 1996. She was a charter member of the Fellowship of Believers Church in Hereford.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Sharon Hutton and husband, Darrell, of Amarillo; and two granddaughters, Ashley and Dakota Hutton of Amarillo.
