Funeral for Charlie Sloan, 41, was to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel.

Sloan died Friday, April 25, 2008, in Decatur.

Born Aug. 12, 1966, in Seagraves to C.S. and Velma (Loper) Sloan, he worked for Bobcat as a pump truck operator.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Johnson Sloan of Boyd; sons, Steven Foreman of Boyd and Clayton Johnson of New York; is mother, Velma Foreman of Boyd; brother, Larry D. Sloan of Boyd; sisters, Sharon Sizemore and husband, Moe, of Boyd; two nieces; a nephew; and Raynea Kirkland of Austin.
