Funeral for Francis Evelyn Sisk, 92, of Alvord was Tuesday, May 13, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord. The Rev. Bill Cleveland officiated.

Sisk died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Bowie.

Born Feb. 17, 1916, in Alvord to James Edward and Lou Hettie Smith Grissom, she married Arvil Edgar Sisk Aug. 29, 1936, in Alvord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord for more than 50 years. She quilted and cooked for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Bonnie, Willie Haynes and Clifton Grissom; and a sister, Dorothy Nivens.

She is survived by her sons, Milton Sisk and wife, Judy, of Decatur, Arvil Sisk and wife, Nellie, of Alvord and David Sisk and wife, Kathy, of Denton; daughters, Wilma Hunt and husband, Vance, of Arlington and Lois Boner and husband, Hubert, of Bowie; grandchildren, Susan Hunt of Dallas, Tori Sisk of Keller, Misti Tibbels and husband, Charlie, of Decatur, Kristi Hankins and husband, Steve, of Decatur, Kenny Boner and wife, Lana, of Decatur, Michael Foster of Alvord, David Sisk of Carrollton and Jerimy Sisk and wife, Nicole, of Crossroads; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Steve Hankins, Kenny Boner, Scott Kelsey, Michael Foster, Davis L. Sisk, Jerimy Sisk, Landon Hankins and Charlie Tibbels.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Alvord.
