The Working Man's Truck Show held on Saturday, March 22, raised more than $31,000 for the family of Jackie Murphree through donations from about 100 entries.

"We were hoping to make $5,000. We just planned on a few trucks," said Chris Fletcher, one of the organizers. "This was overwhelming."

Along with the truck show, the event included a performance by the Brandon Davis Band, a dunking booth sponsored by TxDOT, a live and silent auction and a bounce house. Participants in the truck show traveled from locations throughout the state to enter the show, included a man from Dalhart, who brought four trucks to the show. Show entries were admitted by donation.
