Dennis Hudson of Decatur will seek reelection for a fifth four-year term as Wise County Precinct 1 Constable. With wife Laura Hudson serving as campaign treasurer, Hudson will run on the democratic ticket.
Hudson has served as Precinct 1 Constable for four consecutive terms.
"I have enjoyed my position as Constable for the last 16 years, serving the people of Wise County with honesty, integrity and professionalism," Hudson said.
Hudson feels that the number of years he has spent in office are to the greater benefit of Wise County citizens.
"My position has kept me actively involved in the rapid growth the county has experienced, giving me a cutting edge, working knowledge of the changing face of the community."
The lifetime Wise County resident is a graduate of Decatur High School and the Tarrant County College Police Academy, where he was elected president of his class.
He has owned and operated Hudson Fina and U-Haul in Decatur for 39 years. He has thee daughters, Marsha, Sherry and Ashleigh; and six grandchildren. He is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur.
