To promote breast cancer awareness and raise money in the fight against breast cancer, the Butterfield Stage Days Dodge PRCA Pro Rodeo May 9-10 in Bridgeport, will sponsor a Tough Enough to Wear Pink promotion at the Friday night performance.

Wrangler sponsors Tough Enough to Wear Pink nationally. Aflac, represented by Mary Williams and Marci Craddock in Wise County, is sponsoring the program locally. Karl Klement Dodge in Decatur is the rodeo's title sponsor.

Rodeo fans are encouraged to wear pink to the May 9, 7 p.m. performance. Tough Enough to Wear Pink merchandise will be sold, with all proceeds benefitting Mary's Gift, a program that provides free mammograms to underserved Wise County women through the Wise Regional Health Foundation.

The rodeo promotions committee is also asking county schools to sponsor fundraisers to benefit Tough Enough to Wear Pink. The school district that raises the most money will be awarded a traveling belt buckle.

Pink merchandise is also being sold at the Bridgeport Alflac office prior to the rodeo. Call (940) 683-1775 for more information, to purchase merchandise or to make a donation.
