Youth Tour winners named

Josiah Dalton and John Paul Dalton, both of Sunset, were the Wise Electric's Youth Tour essay contest winners.

The two received an expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., in June and a $1,000 scholarship to be applied to their first year of college.

The young men are the sons of Ken and Sandy Dalton.

New bank nears opening

In just three weeks, the new First State Bank, at 1709 9th St. in Bridgeport, will be open for business.

The spacious new bank, built by Brazier Construction, will open March 31 at 9 a.m. Drive-through lanes will open at 7:30 a.m.

A grand opening ceremony for the bank is planned for Saturday, April 19, 2-4 p.m.

The current bank, located north of the new facility, will remain open as a motor bank only after the new bank opens.

Jobs are offered through non-profit

Experience Works is recruting job-seeking individuals who are 55 and older with limited income and willing to work an average of 20 hours per week.

A non- profit organization, Experience Works provides aid on-the-job training and employment services to low income older workers.
