The Bridgeport and Decatur Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Corporations are helping sponsor the March 29 Barnett Shale Expo at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
The event kicks off with an 8 a.m. complimentary breakfast and continues until 4 p.m.
It will feature industry-leading speakers, more than 120 exhibitors and numerous technology demonstrations.
There is no charge for any of the events.
The EXPO will provide residents of the 18-county Barnett Shale region an educational forum to learn more about the impact of the natural gas play, one of the largest and most active natural gas reserve fields in the U.S.
Among the topics will be negotiating mineral right leases, water use and conservation efforts, career opportunities, royalties and their impact on income taxes and negotiating leases as a neighborhood.
