Boots and Coots International Well Control, Inc. has moved a set of its firefighting/well response equipment to its new office in Decatur on FM 730 North, next to Wise Electric Cooperative.
The equipment moved to North Texas includes two firefighting pumps, a pipe rack, a response tool box and an athey wagon/boom assembly.
"With 30 years of experience in this business, we have essentially written the book on pressure control safety," said Danny Clayton, vice president of Well Control for Boots and Coots. "Unconventional drilling will only keep growing in this area and so will the risks associated with it. We want to ensure our customers and the surrounding communities that if a critical event such as a blowout were to happen, we can respond immediately,"
