300 BLOCK OF LONE TRAIL – Call was received about a dark pickup peeling out in the roadway and someone shooting a gun. Deputy was flagged down by three people at a home in the area. The men stated they caught someone attempting to steal a pickup from their property. They observed two men run to a pickup and spin their tires as they were leaving. One of the men grabbed a gun and fired several shots into the ground to scare away the intruders. Due to their level of intoxication, paperwork could not be completed for the attempted theft of a vehicle, and they agreed to contact the sheriff’s office when they are sober.

U.S. 81/287 AT FARM ROAD 407 – Three vehicles were stopped for following too closely and impeding traffic. The drivers were traveling together from California to Dallas. While speaking with one of the people, the deputy could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The driver informed the deputy that the other two drivers were in possession of marijuana and THC products. A probable cause search of all three vehicles revealed 7 grams of THC wax, 15.3 grams of marijuana and a THC vape pen containing a small amount of THC fluid. All three drivers were arrested.

100 BLOCK OF BOLING STREET – Complainant stated he discovered his tire had been slashed during the night and that he believed he knew who did it. Contact was made with that individual, and he stated that he had done it and was willing to pay for the damages.

600 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4599 – A man reported people stealing from his barn.

COUNTY ROAD 4858 AT COUNTY ROAD 4873 – A traffic stop was made for failure to stop at stop sign, failure to signal turn and driving left of center. Contact was made with the driver, and an odor of marijuana was detected. Deputy searched the vehicle, locating a clear bag of marijuana in the center console along with other paraphernalia. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license and released.
