500 block of CR 1475 – An unknown suspect stole 40 CDs and $170 from a vehicle.

10500 block of FM 730 – A man was pulled over for a defective tail lamp. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested.

U.S. 81/287 Business just south of Decatur – A man was pulled over for failure to use a signal. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested.

200 block of Rolling Plains Drive – A man reported that someone was using his checking account and routing number to cash false checks at a Tom Thumb store in Plano. The case was referred to Plano police department.

100 block of PR 2321 – The Department of Homeland Security called the sheriff’s department and warned of a “suspicious” Cessna 180 landing at a private airstrip near a private road. They asked deputies to detain the pilot, check records and run a K-9 around the plane. The pilot cooperated and allowed deputies to search all baggage. No contraband or anything suspicious was discovered.

200 block of CR 4713 – A man reported that he was receiving harassing phone calls from telemarketers.

100 block of Sunflower – A driver plowed through a metal fence in the complainant’s front yard. The license plate was left on the scene.

Intersection of U.S. 81/287 and Hubbard Street – A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Monday, Nov. 16

600 block of E. Franklin St. – A trailer and welder were stolen.

900 block of Texas 101 N – Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance where a man lived with both his wife and his girlfriend. They had gotten into a verbal dispute because he was moving out.

100 block of CR 1650 – A woman’s goat was attacked by a pack of dogs. She shot at the dogs, but none were injured.

100 block of Deborah Drive – A woman reported that her granddaughter had cigarette burns on her skin. It turned out she had ringworm.

U.S. 380 east of Bridgeport – A bus from Lindsay State Jail struck a cow. The impact broke the animal’s hip and leg. The cow was put down.

Sunday, Nov. 15

U.S. 380 west of Decatur – Deputies responded to a road rage incident. The driver of a black Cadillac said a vehicle driven by a woman was tailgating him and swerved toward his vehicle several times. In response, he pulled over onto the shoulder and chambered a round into his pistol. No charges were filed by either party.

200 PR 3642 – A man reported that a neighbor killed his dog.

Saturday, Nov. 14

100 block of Illinois St. – The property owner of Kusins Liquor Store in Rhome had a vehicle towed that was left in the parking lot. The car owner returned later and said he was going to destroy the store. The store was placed under extra patrol.

100 block of CR 4191 – An unknown suspect entered a gas well site and stole $17,000 worth of field equipment belonging to Impact Energy Services.

300 block of CR 4679 – Unknown suspects stole a 7500 watt generator and a 25 gallon air compressor.

300 block of Hount St. – The complainant found the back windshield of his car shattered. A 7-year-old neighbor admitted to the crime.

600 block of CR  3791 – An unknown driver ran down six mailboxes and 96-feet of fence in the area.

8400 block of U.S. 287 N – A woman was attacked by her mother-in-law at the Golden Express Truck Stop in Alvord. The victim suffered scratches to the face. The mother-in-law fled the scene before deputies could arrive.

100 block of W. Kentucky St. – A man called the sheriff’s department after his 5-year-old son saw a neighbor throw a dead dog across the yard. It turned out an 18-year-old woman was scooping up a dead possum with a shovel. The carcass touched her and “grossed her out and she flung it.” By the time a deputy arrived, she had already given the possum “a proper burial.”

100 block of CR 4875 – A man reported that his wife had assaulted him. The responding deputy found three small scratches on the victim’s left shoulder. Both parties were intoxicated. No charges were filed.

1200 block of CR 2625 – A man reported that he was being assaulted by his wife. A deputy found that the parties had assaulted each other and had been consuming alcohol. No charges were filed.

100 block of CR 4849 – A man was arrested for assaulting his wife. He was charged with misdemeanor assault and transported to Wise County Jail.

100 block of PR 3560 – A man filed charges against his wife for assault.

100 block of PR 4768 – While standing on her front porch a woman observed a man wearing a baseball cap walking down her street. She then saw him hide behind a tree. She went inside and grabbed a shotgun. The deputy was unable to locate him.
