Random thought roundup

It’s early – very early on Monday. And I’m having a hard time focusing on anything except the promise of a Starbucks peppermint mocha in a few hours.

In my pre-caffeine fog, I want to organize a few random thoughts – we’ve got some things to talk about this week.

***

Boyd Public Library is having a book sale today and tomorrow. Check it out. I love these things.

***

I did not get to see “The Road” over the long weekend. Did anyone else check it out? I’d like to know what you thought.

Also, I haven’t heard many opinions of the movie “New Moon,” and I know several of you have seen it. Don’t worry, you won’t be chastised if you liked it.

***

Later this week we’ll talk about great gift ideas for readers, and I’ll tell you about a holiday tradition at our house that involves books.

Now, on to the next item on the agenda … Too bad Starbucks doesn’t deliver.

I saw New Moon over the holidays and actually, secretly, LOVED it. Much better than Twilight. I think I was in a theater with Team Jacob teenage-types, and it cracked me up. Of course, it left me hanging-just as the book did. I started the 3rd book at midnight after finishing up New Moon, so ya…when’s that third movie coming out?

Peppermint Mocha? I’ll have to try that. What’s the official way to order it? I’m always scared I’ll sound dumb ordering from starbucks. I’m a strict Skinny Vanilla Latte for just that reason. :)

Eclipse is supposed to be coming out in June!!!
AND I LOVED NEW MOON and Jacob :)

Wow, Allie. I didn’t realize “Eclipse” is coming out in June. That’s just around the corner. We have at least one thing in common on this whole Twilight thing – Team Jacob. :)

Hey, Danielle. Allie at the Messenger says “Eclipse” is coming out in June, so you won’t have to wait too long. Glad you enjoyed your peppermint mocha – my favorite. And ordering there is a little intimidating for me, too. I love the scene in “You’ve Got Mail” where Tom Hanks’ character says ordering at Starbucks makes indecisive people feel better because they have to make so many decisions just to order … or something to that like that. I think it has the opposite effect on me.
