There are a few fun events around town to help your kids celebrate a safe Halloween. I’ll list them below, and if you know of more, please let us know in the comments.
Decatur First Baptist Church Trunk or Treat 6-8pm, Wednesday, October 28. 1200 West Preskitt Road.
Decatur First United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat & Halloween Carnival October 31, 6-8 pm, 104 South Miller. The Halloween Carnival will be in the parking lot of the Wesley Center.
First United Methodist Church Chico trunk or treat, 6pm October 31st
Governer’s Ridge Retirement Home Trick or Treating & Hot Dog Dinner 6-8, October 31. 300 E Devereaux St. The residents give out candy to the kids, and the staff plays games, paints faces, cooks hot dogs, and mans the inflatable jump house.
Bridgeport Haunted House: The Mighty Marching Maroon band in Bridgeport is having a haunted house at the middle school in the new band hall on Thursday the 29th, 6-9 pm; Friday the 30th, 11-1 (after the game), and Saturday the 31st, 6-midnight. Parking is behind the middle school and admission is $3.00.
Bridgeport Costume Parade: Bridgeport’s fifth annual Halloween Costume Parade and Trick-or-Treating will be 5-6 pm Saturday, October 31st, in downtown. Mayor Don Majka will lead the parade. Participants should meet in the Duckwall’s Parking lot at 5 pm. For information, call (940) 683 3485.
Alvord Haunted House: Alvord eighth graders are sponsoring a haunged house in downtown Alvord October 29, 30, and 31. Proceeds will benefit the class project graduation. A concession stand will be available. The house will be open Thursday, 7-10 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 7 pm until the last person is scared away. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students.
Alvord FUMC Trunk or Treat: The First United Methodist Church in Alvord will host a Trunk or Treat event 5:30-7 pm Saturday, October 31st, in the parking lot across from the church. Treats will be served from car trunks and tail gates. Free hot dogs and soda will be served, and the Carter Blood Mobile will accept blood donations.
Rhome Haunted House: The Rhome Volunteer Fire Department’s annual haunted house will be from 7-11 pm October 30 and 31 in the old school next to the Fire Hall. Admission is $7 per person. For information, call (817) 696-6742.
