The kids found a way to make a little extra cash this summer by offering to do chores around the house. Of course, I was all over any extra help I could muster, and agreed that I might be able to find some spare change to pay them for the agreed upon duties. Here’s the pay scale they came up with:
Make Bed: $5
Wash Dishes: $10
Clean Playroom: $15
Flush Toilet: $20
Make Lunches: $30
Fold Laundry: $50
It looks like I might need to get a summer job to cover the cost of my kids’ summer “jobs!”
I think I found a job for me. If I made this kind of money, well the future looks bright. Ha! The toilet flushing is my fav.
$50 to fold laundry? That sounds like a good deal to me! That’s my most hated chore.
On a related note, today a friend told be about the Be Good app for the iPhone. (I don’t know if it’s on Droid.). You assign chores with point values as well as rewards with point values. The app keeps track of their point and lets you know when they are eligible for a reward. It looked interesting.
OH! I wish I could have that app! I looked on mine, but so far no luck. Maybe someone could write on just for me!
