Brian Knox has been the editor of the Wise County Messenger since October of 2007. He began his Messenger career in July of 2000 after graduating with a bachelors degree in journalism from Texas A&M-Commerce where he served as reporter and then editor of the student newspaper, The East Texan.

Brian is married to his college sweetheart, Amanda, and the couple have a daughter, Audree Cate. He grew up in Itasca, home of the Wampus Cats, before moving off to attend college. Brian lived in Bridgeport for a year and has lived in Decatur since 2001.
