Red Flag Warning today …

and that means no burning outside – including controlled burns and outside welding.

Wise County is under a burn ban on Red Flag Warning days as issued by the National Weather Service. A warning was issued effective until 6 tonight.

Also, give the Wise County Sheriff’s Department a call at (940) 627-5971 if you plan a controlled burn. That way,  if someone is alarmed by the blaze, dispatchers will know it’s an intentional fire.
