Here it is, folks. Your feedback at work.
In a blog post in June, I reached out to our readers to get a feel for the need for a grief support group. Your overwhelming response got the wheels turning, and it seems they’re going at full speed with the establishing of such a group.
Its first meetings are 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, in the administration conference room of the Wise County Sheriff’s Office. Thereafter, the group will meet the first and third Monday of every month.
One group is for parents, while another is for all teens. Based on feedback, a third group for younger kids may be established.
There are privacy forms for all to sign and parental consent forms for teens under 18 allowing them to attend.
Organizers stress that this is not a therapy group “but a support group only.” But there is great potential for impact.

Thank you for your feedback.
