Continuing education

Here at the Mess, we’ve recently been offered continuing education classes on various topics, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to hone or learn new skills.
In a class giving tips for time management, the main idea I took away was that stress is how you react to what’s being thrown at you. That’s a handy piece of advice for me, the person who’s at the end of the funnel, waiting on press days for stories, photos and ads to be completed so I can put them all together and make a paper. It reminded me to find stray pieces of projects that need completing while playing the waiting game.
Thanks to Phil for encouraging us to take advantage of the continuing education opportunity.
