NO DECISIONS ON CONSTRUCTION – After holding a brief discussion and receiving a quote of $1.5 million for renovations at the high school Monday, Decatur ISD trustees said they will review construction and renovations options May 13 after getting an update on property insurance premiums and deductibles April 25. Trustees also approved the refinancing of $11 million in bonds from 2009.

VOTING DEADLINES – The last day a voter can hand deliver an application for ballot by mail for the May 4 election is Friday. Although most county offices will be closed that day for Good Friday, the Elections Office will be open 8-11 a.m. to receive applications. The deadline to receive a postmarked application is next Tuesday. Early voting in the election begins next week.

BLOOD DRIVE – Wise Health System in Decatur will hold a Carter BloodCare blood drive 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot. For information call June Moore, 940-626-0167, ext. 1238.

TRIVIA NIGHT – The Decatur Public Library will hold Trivia at Trinity 7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Street Coffee Bar on the Decatur Square. Prizes and gift certificates will be awarded to the winners of general trivia. Call the library at 940-393-0290 for more information.

EASTER EGG HUNT – The Hills in Decatur will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Cookies and ice cream cones will be available following the hunt.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – A 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 11 at the Paradise High School gyms. Teams are forming for all divisions. Cost is $150 per team. Age groups include 4th grade-adult. All skill levels invited. Three games guaranteed, and T-shirt is included. Vendors will be on site as well as the Kona Ice Truck at 11 a.m. Medals will be given to the winners. Early registration ends this Friday.
