Three people were transported to area hospitals from a two-vehicle accident at the intersection Farm Roads 51 and 2123 Saturday.
Daniel Remley, 39, of Haslet, who was the driver of a blue Honda Accord, was flown by Air Evac Lifeteam 68 to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries. He remained in critical condition Sunday morning. His passenger, Shannon Ruffin, 41, of Newport, Ark., was taken by ambulance to Wise Health System.
The driver of a Chevrolet Cavalier, Robert Molina, 69, of Abilene was taken by ambulance to John Peter Smith.
The Honda Accord was headed east on FM 2123. It ran the stop sign at FM 51 and collided with Molina’s Cavalier, according to Department of Public Safety Trooper Carson Benning. The impact caused the Accord to roll, before coming to rest on its top on the east side of FM 51.
The accident occurred shortly before noon and shut down FM 51 for several minutes while the medical helicopter landed on the roadway. Traffic was limited to one lane until 1 p.m.
Cottondale and Boyd firefighters along with multiple Wise County EMS ambulances responded to the crash.
