The Wise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible child abuse case near Rhome after a family disturbance call resulted in the discovery of two young children locked in a dog kennel. Sheriff Lane Akin said officers were called to a home on County Road 4930 between Newark and Rhome around 7:20 Tuesday morning and found a 24-year-old man and woman. The man had cuts to his face. While speaking to the two about the possible family violence situation, the deputy heard children inside. Once inside the home, the deputy located children ages 5, 4, 3 and 1. The two oldest children were locked in a dog kennel. “The others appeared malnourished, covered in urine and feces,” Akin said. “There was food in the house, but it was locked up where the kids couldn’t get it.” The children were transported by Wise County EMS to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth for evaluation. The man was also taken to the hospital for his wounds on his face. The woman was taken into custody on a family violence charge. Akin said both the man and woman have each been charged with four counts of endangering a child. More information will be posted as it is available.

These people are worthless use of skin. I would say more but would get in trouble. I would call them animals but animals would be insulted.
