Sissies pull away from Krum

Bridgeport downed Krum Friday night 45-32.

The Sissies improved to 20-9 and 2-1 in District 8-4A. Bridgeport squared off with rival Decatur Tuesday.

PEASTER 48, PARADISE 46

Peaster converted an and-one in the waning moments Friday to upend Paradise 48-46.

The Lady Panthers led 46-45 with 7.9 seconds remaining.

“I was proud of how we battled,” said Paradise coach Chad Woodard.

Senior Kendall Candioto led the Lady Panthers with 19 points. Kaycee Martin added nine.

Paradise fell to 2-5 in District 7-3A. The Lady Panthers hosted Tolar Tuesday.

JACKSBORO 39, BOYD 23

Jacksboro held Boyd to just nine first-half points Friday, coming away with a 39-23 victory.

“Tonight was not our night,” said Boyd coach Erica Warner. “We couldn’t buy a basket. We played great defense but offensively, we just couldn’t get into a rhythm.”

Paytin Bullard scored 15 of the Lady Jackets’ 23 points. Boyd dropped to 2-4 District 7-3A.

The Lady Jackets hit the road to take on Millsap Tuesday.

ERA 53, ALVORD 34

Alvord dropped its District 11-2A opener to Era 53-34 Friday night.

The Lady Bulldogs (10-11) fell to 0-1 in league play. Alvord traveled to Poolville Tuesday.

POOLVILLE 57, CHICO 16

Poolville routed Chico 57-16 Tuesday.

The Lady Dragons are now 0-2 in District 11-2A play. Chico hosted Muenster Tuesday.

SLIDELL 60, SAINT JO 28

Behind a game-high 15 points from senior Bailey Meyer, the Slidell Lady Hounds pummeled Saint Jo 60-28 Friday night.

Slidell held Saint Jo to just nine first-half points. The Lady Hounds improved to 22-2 and 4-1 in District 22-A.

Slidell traveled to Gold-Burg Tuesday.
