Pruett, Horner earn all-tournament honors: Decatur’s Rieger tabbed to 4A team

Slidell junior Slayton Pruett and senior Hunter Horner were named to the Class A 2019 state tournament team.

Pruett was the MVP of the final, recording a 10-point, 21-rebound double-double.

Horner led the Greyhounds in scoring in both the semifinal and final, averaging 13.5 points during the tournament.

The duo helped Slidell claim its first championship since 1944.

Decatur junior Gage Rieger earned a spot on the 4A all-tournament team.

Rieger led all scorers with 15 points in the Eagles’ semifinal loss to Liberty Hill. He also grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists.
