Decatur wins 7th straight

Ethan Southard, Wilson Hicks and Carson Tibbels each finished in double figures Friday night, as the Decatur Eagles rolled Krum 67-41 for their seventh straight win.

Southard led all scorers with 18 points. Hicks added 14, knocking down four 3-pointers. Tibbels had 11.

Decatur shot 58.3 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc.

The Eagles (27-3) improved to 4-0 in District 8-4A. Decatur met Wichita Falls Hirschi in non-district action Tuesday.

SPRINGTOWN 46, BRIDGEPORT 45

Missed free throws in crunch time cost Bridgeport Friday night, as Springtown escaped with a 46-45 victory.

The Bulls (12-16) fell to 0-4 in District 8-4A. Bridgeport headed to Krum Tuesday.

JACKSBORO 54, PARADISE 44

Paradise lost a key District 8-4A contest to Jacksboro Friday night 54-44.

The Panthers (14-12) dropped to 4-5 in league play. Paradise traveled to Brock Tuesday.

BOYD 52, BRECKENRIDGE 43

Connor Richardson’s game-high 20 points propelled Boyd past Breckenridge 52-43 Friday night.

The Yellowjackets led 23-18 at halftime. Reuben Rodebaugh poured in 13 points for Boyd.

With the win, the Yellowjackets improved to 3-6 in District 7-3A. Boyd took on Peaster Tuesday on the road.

ALVORD 79, WINDTHORST 66

Behind a game-high 25 points from Karson Parker, the Alvord Bulldogs dispatched Windthorst 79-66 Friday night.

Parker scored 15 of his 25 points in the second half. Hunter Richey and Jayton Malone each scored 19.

The Bulldogs improved to 17-8 and were back in District 11-2A action Tuesday in Era.

POOLVILLE 59, CHICO 34

Poolville handled Chico 59-34 Friday night.

The Dragons fell to 0-4 in District 11-2A. Chico traveled to Olney Tuesday.

SLIDELL 76, BELLEVUE 29

Hunter Horner led all scorers with 19 points Friday night, leading Slidell past Bellevue 76-29.

Slayton Pruett and Brock Harwell added 10 points apiece. The Greyhounds (22-7) stayed perfect in District 22-A, improving to 7-0 in league play.

Slidell hosted Midway Tuesday.
