Paytin Bullard’s game-high 25 points were not enough for Boyd Friday night, as the Lady Jackets fell to Breckenridge 43-41.

“My team played hard and played well,” said Boyd coach Erica Warner. “We just came up short.”

The Lady Buckaroos outscored the Lady Jackets 26-19 in the second half. Boyd led 22-17 at halftime.

The Lady Jackets’ playoff hopes took a severe hit with the loss. Boyd must win its final three games and get help to qualify for the postseason.

Abby Hayes and Rylee Spencer each scored five points. The Lady Jackets fell to 5-6 in District 7-3A and traveled to Peaster Tuesday.

BRIDGEPORT 78, SPRINGTOWN 24

The Bridgeport Sissies got back in the win column Friday with a 78-24 rout of Springtown.

Bridgeport (21-10) improved to 3-3 in District 8-4A. The Sissies hit the road to take on Krum Tuesday.

JACKSBORO 34, PARADISE 33

Paradise missed a shot at the buzzer Friday night, narrowly falling to Jacksboro 34-33.

The Lady Panthers were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss. Paradise coach Chad Woodard said he was proud of his team’s effort and how they played.

The Lady Panthers dropped to 4-7 in District 7-3A and traveled to Brock Tuesday.

POOLVILLE 73, CHICO 37

The Chico Lady Dragons fell to Poolville 73-37 Friday night.

Chico dropped to 0-6 in District 11-2A. The Lady Dragons traveled to Olney Tuesday.

SLIDELL 34, BELLEVUE 33

Slidell avenged its lone District 22-A loss Friday night, knocking off Bellevue 34-33.

The win puts the two schools in a tie atop the league standings with 8-1 records. Should the Lady Hounds and Lady Eagles finish the regular season with the same district records, they would play a one-game playoff to decide first and second place.

Senior Cate Zuniga led Slidell with 10 points. Bailey Meyer added nine. The Lady Hounds improved to 25-2 and hosted Midway Tuesday.
