Rodeo
#1 FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW AND RODEO

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo starts Friday and officially kicks off with the All Western Parade Saturday in downtown Fort Worth.

Dozens of Wise County youth will trek to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the heart of Cowtown’s Cultural District to show their livestock projects and compete in various contests throughout the event, which runs through Feb. 9.

Decatur Night at the rodeo is Feb. 9. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance can be purchased at Decatur Chamber of Commerce, 308 W. Main St. Cost is $30.

Folk music
#2 HUNGRYTOWN CONCERT

Folk music duo Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, known as Hungrytown, will land in Bridgeport Saturday.

Hosted by Chico Public Library, the free event is 7 p.m. at Arcadia Theater, 1008 Halsell St.

Hungrytown has released three albums and toured the world for more than 15 years. Based in Vermont, their compositions have been described as sounding “as timeless as any traditional songs” with lyrics inspired by 1960s folk music.

Quinceanera
#3 WEDDING, QUINCEANERA SHOW

Are you planning a wedding or quinceanera for 2019?

If so, don’t miss next weekend’s Bridal and Quinceanera Show at the Bridgeport Community Center, 1102 Lawdwin Ave.

The show is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and will feature all types of vendors, focusing on everything from food to venues. Admission is free, so bring your mom, BFF and event planner to get your party started.
