Col. William E. Pedigo

Col. William E. Pedigo, 97, of Runaway Bay, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, in Mountain Home, Ark.

Funeral was Feb. 8 at the Runaway Bay Community Church with burial in Eternal Oaks Cemetery.

William was born March 19, 1921, in Liberal, Kan., to Clifford and Gladys (Rogers) Pedigo. He married Jacque Carter Feb. 23, 1944, in Phoenix, Ariz. He retired to Runaway Bay, helping found the Runaway Bay Community Church and lived there more than 20 years.

Col. Pedigo spent 30 years in the Air Force. He was a bomber pilot during WWII, flying on 30 missions over Germany.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years.

He is survived by his brother, Wallace Pedigo of Wichita, Kan.; daughter Susan Hickman and husband, Gene, of Helena, Mont.; son Ron Pedigo and wife, Paula, of Yellville, Ark.; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
